Collaboration is where ideas stop being slides and start becoming cities, systems, and real impact 🌍✨
We were proud to see representatives of Hellenic American University actively engaged at the Joint GREENBEAT – METACITIES Autumn School 2025, hosted by the Technical University of Sofia. Dr. Pete Tsolis (Director of Business Programs), Dr. Panayotis Kalozoumis (Director of Informatics & Engineering Programs), and Didoe Prevedourou (Director of Innovation in ICT) represented the university in a vibrant exchange of expertise with partners from across Europe.
The event brought together academia, industry, and local authorities to explore sustainability, innovation, and urban resilience. Workshops focused on SDG-driven business models, resilience engineering, and EU-funded proposal writing, highlighting the strong partnerships between GREENBEAT, METACITIES, and their European collaborators.
Beyond the sessions, the real energy was in the conversations. The exchange of expertise in smart cities, digital twins, and next-generation communication technologies reflects our shared commitment to strengthening innovation and research capacity across South-Eastern Europe. These discussions are not abstract. They shape how regions evolve, how infrastructure becomes intelligent, and how collaboration turns into measurable progress.
Through these initiatives, we aim to build sustainable collaboration models, bridge academia with industry and public stakeholders, and create long-term impact for students, researchers, and regional ecosystems. The foundation is strong, and the momentum is real 🚀
Looking forward to continuing this partnership and expanding future joint initiatives that push innovation beyond borders.
